JJ Mazzucotelli is a freelance photojournalist based out of Reno, Nevada, and a member of the IWW Freelance Journalists Union.
Protests began on May 26th in Minneapolis when George Floyd was killed by Minneapolis Police Department 3rd Precinct officer Derek Chauvin. As of June 1st, protests have continued and spread to more than 200 cities across the United States. JJ Mazzucotelli attended a protest in Reno, Nevada over the last weekend of May.
